Your job

  • Work 100% remotely on interesting client data projects from all kinds of industries
  • Join a remote cross-functional & self-organized team doing Data Mining, developing machine learning models and bringing them into production in a software system
  • Designing & implementing software systems providing your ML models as a service to other internal systems
  • Data wrangling & building ETL pipelines in on-premise & cloud environments
  • Generating insights & visualizing them to stakeholders & management
  • Applying TDD, clean code principles and other best practices to your code
  • Working in a continuous integration & delivery environment

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Computer Science/Data Science/Mathematics background (or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of mathematical statistics
  • Deep understanding of at least 2 programming languages (e. g. Go or JavaScript)
  • Profound experience in applying statistical/machine learning techniques to data problems, especially creating ML models and putting them into production as a service (e. g. written in Go)
  • Profound experience in at least one big data environment such as Hadoop, BigQuery, Redshift is required
  • Solid experience with SQL & databases/data warehouses is mandatory
  • Data visualization skills using tools like R/ggplot2, D3.js, Tableau, or GCP Data Studio
  • Experience with tools like tensorflow, Spark/MLlib, Hadoop/MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Python (esp. scikit-learn) is preferred
  • Familiar working in an agile environment following methodologies like Scrum

  • Strong sense of ownership, entrepreneurial & analytical thinking and attitude of continuous lifelong learning
  • Fluent in English is a must (written & spoken)
